AIFFA Training Institute is a private company incorporated in South Africa to meet the training needs of finance professionals and demand forecasters on the African continent. Given the increasing demand for accredited finance and forecasting courses at reasonable fees, AIFFA Training Institute is well-positioned and resourced to meet such a demand.  With our team of finance professionals and demand forecasters, many of whom are academics at reputable institutions of higher learning around the world, AIFFA Training Institute pledges to provide quality training in this key business functionality.

AIFFA Training Institute uses a hands-on approach in all its course deliveries. The idea is to ensure that the delegates who come to our training workshops can immediately implement the knowledge learnt in their lines of work. We particularly make use of Excel in all problem-solving and hands-on exercises since this is the spreadsheet of choice among finance and forecasting professionals and is available on almost every personal computer.

AIFFA Training Institute prides itself in its partnerships and linkages with organisations such as Delphus Incorporation in the United States, which provide training in demand forecasting around the world, and the Africa Institute for Forecasting & Financial Analysis (AIFFA) – a professional body and membership organisation for forecasting and finance professionals in Africa. In this regard, AIFFA members are entitled to a special discount whenever they participate in any of our workshops.

AIFFA Training Institute envisions itself as a vocational training institute of excellence and the provider of choice for training in finance, forecasting and related courses, not only in South Africa, but in the greater African region and beyond. With the practical, hands-on nature of our training courses and the “keeping-it-simple” approach, AIFFA Training Institute strives to ensure that everyone who passes through its doors grows to full potential in skills and capabilities to become one of the invaluable key personnel in their organisations. AIFFA Training Institute’s core learning outcome is the practical hands-on exposure of learners to the demands of the jobs in which the skills they acquire from us are required to ensure immediate implementation of the knowledge and skills learnt. The idea is to help those employed or commencing a career in finance or forecasting to broaden their skillsets, become excellent in what they do, reach their full potential, achieve their goals and advance professionally in their careers.

AIFFA Training Institute exists in order to empower finance and forecasting professionals with the skills they need in their respective disciplines and to instil professionalism, excellence and integrity in what they do. Our goal is to enable participants to realize their full potential by strengthening their knowledge, skills, and professional competencies. We strive to be a community-inspired, professional and corporate training provider, offering flexible and tailored training courses in finance and forecasting for immediate implementation on the job.

“He who learns but does not think, is lost. He who thinks but does not learn is in great danger.” ~ Confucius (551-479 BC)

Our training at AIFFA equips the learner to immediately put to practice what is learnt by reflecting and relating the knowledge acquired to their current work situations.

“Real knowledge is to know the extent of one’s ignorance.” ~ Confucius

The training that we offer at AIFFA focuses on equipping individuals to better perform in their current job roles or planned job roles within their organisations. Such individuals often would have assessed their training needs and identified their lack and gaps in knowledge. They, therefore, come expectant, knowing what they want to derive from the training. They thus leave the workshop with real knowledge and would go back to their places of work with the intention to implement and do their jobs better. This is more so for in-house training workshops, which are customised to the client’s needs.

“I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand”. ~ Confucius

Our goal is to equip our delegates with the skills that they need to do their jobs better.  We want nothing more than to enable them to hit the ground running in terms of job performance upon completion of the training. This is why all our training workshops are hands-on – to give the delegates the opportunity to practice in real-life scenario settings with real-life data as they would do on the job. Thus, in our workshops, we teach/tell, illustrate/show and, most of all, involve our delegates in hands-on activities. Nothing can be more effective in enhancing their learning other than this.

“He that would perfect his work must first sharpen his tools.” ~ Confucius

On leaving the workshop, after our delegates have acquired the necessary skills they need (sharpen their tools) to do their jobs better (perfect their work) and are ready to take on the world, they do not leave empty-handed. We give each delegate a certificate of attendance as proof and testimony that they have sharpened their tools under an expert’s instruction. We also encourage our delegates to do our optional post-workshop e-learning exercises. On completion of these e-learning assessments, we are happy to endorse their competency in the respective subject area by issuing them with a further certificate of competency. Although these assessments are optional, they are worth the effort.

Our workshops are limited to small groups to enable maximum interaction and to ensure that attendees get the most out of the training. Registration and participation is strictly on a first-come first-served basis. AIFFA prides itself in its network of facilitators, who are often experts in their respective fields. Feel free to browse their profiles on this website.

We look forward to seeing you at one of our training workshops!
